Can you get Pregnant if you have PCOS and no Periods

Many women suffer from PCOS, or Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. This condition is characterized by cysts on the ovaries. It is hormonal imbalances that cause the ovaries not to work.

Many women with PCOS do not have regular periods or regular ovulation cycles, and this can lead to a difficulty getting pregnant. However, it is possible to get pregnant with PCOS even if you do not have a normal period.
Periods and anovulation are not mutually exclusive. It is possible for women to ovulate without having a period and it is also possible for women to have a period without ovulating.

However, many women with PCOS find that their weight is what is really holding them back from conceiving. Doctors say that losing as little as five to ten pounds can really improve fertility and chances of conceiving. There are also several prescription drugs out there that can improve fertility and ovulation.

Clomid is one such medication that can really improve ovulation in many women, in fact up to 80 percent of all women who take Clomid can begin ovulating as a result of the drug. If you suffer from PCOS and you do not have regular periods, make sure to ask your doctor about what you can do to improve your chances of conceiving.
