How to Prevent Stretch Marks

Stretch marks can appear at any point in time and are caused by rapid growth.

As we grow quickly, our skin will stretch and tear to accommodate our new size. When the skin becomes damaged through stretching, small scars or stretch marks will appear when the skin begins to heal. Usually, stretch marks appear after pregnancy or as a child goes through a growth spurt.

To prevent stretch marks, it is important to care for your skin whenever there is a chance that stretch marks could appear. To do this, make sure that you are moisturizing your skin regularly with a lotion or cream that contains vitamin E. This will help to give your skin the nutrients that it needs to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Egg oil is also something that is commonly used, especially by women during pregnancy. To use this method, you will rub the egg oil over the stomach region twice a day. You can start doing this after you are 8 weeks pregnant and continue until 6 months after you give birth.

When you are rubbing in your cream, it is suggested that you do so in a circular pattern. It is said that this will help to increase the amount of circulation in the skin and will help encourage new tissue to grow properly.
